We rent and sell portable storage containers in 8', 10', 20' and 40' for storage at your home or at one of their secure locations. BigSteelBoxes are actually shipping containers so they are weather and rodent-proof, and come equipped with a steel Lock Box to protect your padlock from bolt cutters.

Our service is extremely convenient because we bring the storage to you, so you only have to load and unload your items once. From our storage facility in Calgary, AB, we're able to provide portable storage unit rentals and sales to residential and business customers in Calgary, and several cities and towns nearby, including Airdrie and Chestermere. Whether you need secure storage at home or on the job site, BigSteelBox can help. Plus, you get AIR MILES® Reward Miles™ for the purchase or monthly rental payments of a moving and storage container.

A family member had a terrific experience with Big Steel Boxes and recommended them to me. I've been a customer/client for a year. I was impressed from the outset when my questions were speedily answered, despite the Kelowna offices of the company being evacuated due to the forest fires, at the time. I received written and verbal confirmation of the booking. The driver delivered the box and picked up exactly as organized and was professional and cordial. The store manager at the Calgary SE location, Cory, is a consummate professional who provides exceptional customer service. He takes time to know his customers and understands the 'angst' that comes with moves. Big Steel offers excellent storage solutions at reasonable costs, while providing first class support and assistance. Thank you.

Had a great experience with Big Steel Box. They were here on time when they said they would. I would get a call from the drive to confirm delivery time too so I wouldn't miss them. The tow drivers were super friendly and helpful. One even let my 6 year old son use the controls to tip the container off the back of the truck. It made his day. Would use these guys again for sure !!.

Actually. You delivered my property to my home, it was professionally done by your satellite contractor. Then when you picked up your box your contractor destroyed my property. Because he slid the box on the truck he didn’t put it all the way on and managed to get his front end stuck. I sent pictures to Big Steel Box. No one ever got back to me. Odd how that works isn’t it. I get it. Everyone wants to save a buck. But the idea of a reputable company, not responding to the proper emails I sent. Clearly showed me you lack of concern. To top it off. The driver damaged the property. Then had my wife sign the “ We are not responsible for damage” after the fact. And still no one ever reached out from your company. Big steel box, you disappointed this old Veteran, and all that was required was a simple call or email. Don’t worry I covered the costs associated with the damage. Even has your contractor truck pulled out of the vaping hole he made.

I moved from Winnipeg MB to Calgary AB this has been the best and least stressful experience of a move. The prices are reasonable and the staff are incredibly friendly! Props to Jeff in Winnipeg, Mason and Savanna! If you rent a container they are available to access whenever, since customer service will give you the gate code! Absolutely incredible moving experience.
