BigSteelBox is a Canadian-owned and operated storage company that makes moving and storage feel better! We rent and sell portable storage containers in 8', 10', 20' and 40' for storage at your home or at one of their secure locations. BigSteelBoxes are actually shipping containers so they are weather and rodent-proof, and come equipped with a steel Lock Box to protect your padlock from bolt cutters.

Our service is extremely convenient because we bring the storage to you, so you only have to load and unload your items once. From our storage facility in Calgary, AB, we're able to provide portable storage unit rentals and sales to residential and business customers in Calgary, and several cities and towns nearby, including Airdrie and Chestermere. Whether you need secure storage at home or on the job site, BigSteelBox can help.

What a great experience we had with Big Steel Box on our move to our retirement home across the country. The staff from booking to delivery of the box and dropping it off at our home were all outstanding and kept us informed every step of the way. Our box arrived nearly 2 weeks early and they made the whole moving process very easy for us. The overall price and service far surpassed any of the other competitors and we will not hesitate to use them again if needed.

Recently moved from ON to AB and used Big Steel Box to transport house contents. The price was very competitive to other similar companies, they were easy to work with and excellent communication every step of the way. After the long drive, we would not want to unload the container ourselves so I hired a moving company and they met us at the yard in Calgary, unloaded the container and delivered to new place. Big Steel Box recommended we have movers arrive to yard after 10am as they don't open yard until 9am to avoid extra fees if movers arrive too early and box is not ready yet to be unloaded and they are getting paid by the hour. It was a very seamless process glad I made the choice to use this company.

I moved from Winnipeg MB to Calgary AB this has been the best and least stressful experience of a move. The prices are reasonable and the staff are incredibly friendly! Props to Jeff in Winnipeg, Mason and Savanna! If you rent a container they are available to access whenever, since customer service will give you the gate code! Absolutely incredible moving experience.

Actually. You delivered my property to my home, it was professionally done by your satellite contractor. Then when you picked up your box your contractor destroyed my property. Because he slid the box on the truck he didn’t put it all the way on and managed to get his front end stuck. I sent pictures to Big Steel Box. No one ever got back to me. Odd how that works isn’t it. I get it. Everyone wants to save a buck. But the idea of a reputable company, not responding to the proper emails I sent. Clearly showed me you lack of concern. To top it off. The driver damaged the property. Then had my wife sign the “ We are not responsible for damage” after the fact. And still no one ever reached out from your company. Big steel box, you disappointed this old Veteran, and all that was required was a simple call or email. Don’t worry I covered the costs associated with the damage. Even has your contractor truck pulled out of the vaping hole he made.
