Make Space Storage - Portable Containers

Courtney Keating is an outstanding employee of Make Space Calgary. She was so incredibly helpful and efficient with solving all our storage needs! We were VERY impressed.. From showing us the storage unit to preparing a contract, including setting out the terms clearly... and giving us a good deal too which we really appreciate!....She was meticulous with all the details- answering all our questions and even giving further advice over the phone . She is personable and does well at establishing trust so we feel we are in very good hands with Make Space Storage for our long term storage unit rental.

Courtney at the Calgary location is amazing. So helpful, full of knowledge and alway available for any questions you may have. Wonderful to deal with.

We purchased a trailer stored at the Calgary facility but we live out of province. We dealt with the folks at Make Space via phone and email and they were always quick to respond. All correspondence with them was extremely professional and pleasant. Would highly recommend them.

We’ve been loyal customers in this storage unit for over 8 years. Recently I received a registered letter in the mail informing me that our trailer had been seized-this was the very first time we were notified that anything was wrong. Immediately we contacted Make Space, who informed us that because we hadn’t updated our expired credit card we were 3 payments behind and our trailer had been seized and sent to auction. When we inquired as to why we were not contacted, they indicated that they had emailed- to an email address that was no longer in use. They never called the cell phone number that was on file, and they claimed that they also sent two letters via registered mail. The woman we spoke to admitted that she knew we never received any registered mail because she still had both letters in her possession. I work from home, so should have been home to receive those letters and have huge doubts that they were even sent. Before Make Space took over this storage unit, the man who owned it had called us to get up to date credit card information when it was close to expiring. With Make Space, instead of us settling up less than $500 in missed payments for a mistake in not catching the one business we forgot to update our credit card info with, we were now told that we had 15 days to come up with $3000 in late fees, bailiff fees, storage fees at the auction, and had been charged $25 per day in storage backdated to whenever they took our trailer or it would be sold at auction. I understand we have some fault in forgetting to update our email and credit card expiry, but it doesn’t feel like the company made any effort in trying to contact us beyond automated emails, possibly so they could make more money in all the additional late charges. A simple call would have solved all of this. We were left feeling absolutely defeated as that’s money we don’t have. This company doesn’t care about clients, only money to be made. Take your business down the road to the family owned storage unit off 22x.

This is the worst company and service I have ever used ! My $60,000 trailor was stolen from this facility. I’ve had 0 help and call back from anyone higher up in the company . I did talk to one girl that works there and she told me that there cameras have been down for over 2 months … now she won’t answer the phone to me !! Who doesn’t tell there customers that there cameras are down ??? It’s actuallY embarrassing the lack of customer service . Just a complete money grab . They don’t care one bit about customers. I’m sure if everyone new about no cameras they would not be happy . The gate system is a complete joke every time you go to enter it already open . There are so many things wrong with this company . I’m hoping this gets their attention because I’m now taking legal action against them. I highly suggest not putting your trailers here as it is definitely not safe . ADDING TO THIS REVIEW. You are so unhelpful . I had one call now from you and I emailed you multiple time with no response . Renovated office ??? It a dive ! I was in it ! That is not an office . As for the gate … it’s open all the time .. anyone can enter . The facility is not secure and you will here from my lawyer. This company is a disgrace . Do not store your trailor here .
